What I Do
About Me
Youssef Kobach
Born in the U.S. and raised in Syria, I grew up between cultures, languages, and perspectives. That experience shaped the way I listen - closely, intentionally, and with an understanding that every story carries more than one truth.

I learned English by immersing myself into music. I absorbed meaning through rhythm, emotion, and tone as much as words themselves. That early connection to sound and storytelling became the foundation of my creative work, influencing not just the music I make, but the way I write, direct, and produce across mediums.

My creative approach is rooted in perspective. Having been exposed early to conflict, social tension, and inequality, I’m drawn to work that explores nuance rather than easy answers. I see creativity as a form of translation; a way to bridge lived experience, surface unspoken emotions, and invite people into viewpoints they may not have experienced themselves.

Whether I’m developing a concept, shaping a visual narrative, producing music, or performing, my process begins with active listening and intention. I focus on creating work that is layered and thoughtful, rewarding attention through depth rather than excess. I want each project to feel human, intimate, and honest, while still carrying weight and purpose.

At the core of everything I create is a desire to express ideas clearly and meaningfully, using creative expression to explore complexity, amplify emotion, and tell stories that resonate beyond a single medium.
CREATIVE PHILOSOPHY
I'm drawn to stories that feel honest, imperfect, emotional and human. Whether I'm behind the camera, in front of it, or building a soundtrack, my goal is always the same - create work that connects.
